Krobo Beads for Wells in Somanya, Ghana

I am so excited that on this coming Saturday, I will be able to share one of the things that I am very passionate about with a group of women in our community. I get to tell the story of how buying a beautiful handmade Krobo Glass Bead Necklace from Ghana, Africa will help drill a well to provide a reliable and clean source of water for many school children. Chad and I purchased over 100 pieces of jewelry from a Krobo women and her daughter using fare trade practices. The proceeds from each of the pieces will be used to help fund our well project in the same community.

By one small act of purchasing a beautiful necklace, it can make a big difference to a lot of people. It is called the (act)small campaign.
